About
About iceHQ Ducks.
Formed in November 2020, the Ducks mission is to grow and nurture the sport of ice hockey by providing a holistic pathway for all players, and, to create a supportive and inclusive environment for our players, fans, members and sponsors.
Developed in an integrated manner, alongside our other year-round hockey programs, the Ducks train and compete in the Winter season, which aligns with the Term 2 & 3 school calendar.
Led by Michael McMahon and Steve Belic - our heads of Coaching & Player Development - the Ducks program places equal emphasise on skating, skill and hockey IQ.
Most importantly, our program is delivered in an inclusive and welcoming environment, one that strives to enrich our players lives, both on and off the ice.
The Ducks currently field teams in ALL age brackets of the Ice Hockey Victoria (IHV) Junior Winter competition:
• U12 (Full Ice): 9-11 years old
• U15: 12-14 years old
• U18: 15-17 years old
ALL divisions are mixed and we welcome players of all levels of experience!
In addition, the Ducks also run a U12 development program for children aged 5-9, with a focus on cross-ice games, skating and fundamental skill development.
The Ducks were forged out of iceHQ’s ongoing affiliation with 3 of Victoria’s Senior Ice Hockey Clubs:

• Demons IHC
• Saints-Monarchs IHC
