An Evening with the Stars

An Evening With The Stars returns to Ladbrokes Gardens on Saturday 28 November 2026, raising funds for the Mark Hughes Foundation.

Mark Hughes played 161 games for the Newcastle Knights. In 2014, after his own brain cancer diagnosis, he and his wife Kirralee started the Mark Hughes Foundation.

It funds brain cancer research at the University of Newcastle, and places specialist brain cancer care nurses in hospitals across the Hunter and regional New South Wales.

Every ticket sold supports that work.

Joining us for the night:

Ray Hadley, legendary broadcaster

Danny Buderus, Rugby League legend

Fletcher Sharpe, star Newcastle Knights player

Between them they have called, played and lived some of the greatest moments in Australian sport.

Your ticket includes a three course meal and a four hour beverage package.

On the night there is a major raffle drawn live, an in room raffle, and a live auction with Ray Hadley.
